I don't know if this is too well known or isn't what you were looking for but I was planning on choosing the NFL's charity organization. Several player and teams in the league give their free time to offer help to their communities. For example several New Orleans Saints such as Reggie Bush helped give people supplies in their time of need. FSU's own Warrick Dunn is the biggest of all NFL's contributors as he buys a home for a needy family on a yearly bases and stuffs the refrigerator with food. That along with community work he has been awarded for his community work by the NFL. One article referencing this states in description of the picture above "Christine Bonilla, a single mother of five, cries as she holds the keys Warrick Dunn handed her this morning to her Habitat for Humanity house in Dade City."
