Timeless.

I can't say I've become that upset, or frustrated, with this paper. My only issue is the one thing that as always, seems priceless - time. I honestly wish I could spend more time on this paper. Surely, we've had a while now to compose these. But it doesn't seem to be enough. My topic makes me want to search for more information. More theory. More ideas. And that isn't proving to be easy when I have to submit a document in 12 hours. My fault, sure. But life's way too busy right now. I look around my room and just see books laying open around my floor. Post-it's marking pages and quotations. And I know that there will only be a minority of that information in my actual paper. That's depressing. The page constraint doesn't help much either. So yeah. I just want more time. But this isn't that stupid ClockStoppers movie. It's...college. Go figure.

Final Question: You're a writer. Does the stereotype have any bearing or affect on you?

And I also second Wes' question...how many sources total? I'm at 16.

  1. you are lucky that you have escaped the frustration of this paper. For me the frustration spurred from the start. I struggled to start my paper and the main stress causing a major writers block was time. I hate having deadlines and I wish i had a lot more time like you said to do and add more research. My topic is complex as well and it seems like i find something new and interesting within each source. I hate racing the clock because i feel like i just throw something together to make the page length and the time that we have to have it posted by. And i completely agree life is busy right now and squeezing time in to write a research paper is really hard to do but like you said this is college and all nighters are what its all about.

  2. Yeah definitely lucky you that it's not that frustrating to you. But i do understand how you feel when you say you wish you had more time. Even though we've had plenty of time, it still feels like its not enough and it just makes it seem to me more stressful. I've also been coming across to more information that has extended to other views thought of my research and has expanded my range of the topic which I thought to be be quite interesting. But the page length is kind of constraining when it comes to trying to fit all that info into the paper it seems. I just hope this paper ends up getting easier and that all the hardwork is worth it in the end.
