Opposites Attract

I believe friends are a very important aspect to a person’s life. Like Tonya, I have two other girl friends that form a very prominent community in my life. We were introduced in second grade and every since then, our very contrasting personalities just proved to everyone who knew us that opposites do attract. The first of the group is Jen. She is almost a year older than the rest of us and she takes on “the mom” roll of our friendship. While she is more reserved and less experienced less than us, she keeps the group on track and works her magic to keep us out of trouble. Michelle is the complete opposite. She has such a light spirit and will never say no. Her laugh is so addicting and once she breaks out laughing, you can’t help but laugh too. Last is me, Amanda. Being the baby of the group, I take it onto myself to be the clumsy, immature one. I am constantly the cause of their amusement as I trip over almost everything and always have some sort of joke to crack. Since second grade we have all lived in the same neighborhood. Our best friends were always just a short walk away but this year is a little different; I am attending FSU, while Jen goes to UF, and Michelle is at TCC. Although we’re no longer just a walk away, our community of friendship has proved strong enough to last the distance and we are constantly talking and frequently visiting. We’re going to need a little more than distance to break this friendship of 11 years!
