Cards One Game From Super Bowl

One of the first head line on the Arizona Republic is the Cardinals are one win away from the superbowl. I know this is another rblog about the cardinals but this is a really BIG DEAL FOR ME. Arizona won on Saturday Kent Sommers wrote about it yesterday in the Arizona Republic.

“ Before this season, 61 years had passed since their last home playoff game.” This sentence really stood out for me because Arizona is getting ready to host their second home playoff game in 3 weeks and before that it had been 61 years since their last. 61 years is an entire life time for some people it is hard to grasp being disappointed every year for 6 decades.

“The Cardinals are a game away from the Super Bowl.” That sentence has never been uttered in the history of the world. Not once since Vince Lombardy hosted the first Super Bowl trophy has the cardinals and Super Bowl ever been in the same sentence. And now the cardinals will be facing the Philadelphia Eagles in the cardinals first ever NFC Championship game.

As for next week’s game everyone should be healthy Anquan Boldin who played for Florida State in college was hurt for last Saturdays game and came out with a quote after Arizona won.
"The guys made me a promise," Boldin said. "They told me they would give me another week. They were true to their word."

The NFC Championship is at 3pm Sunday on Fox- go cards adam

p.s. if some one wanted to buy me a ticket that would be cool.

  2. I completely understand where you're coming from. I was born and raised a Washington Redskins fan, I actually lived in Virginia though :). The last time the Redskins were in the super bowl was in 1992, so I haven't been waiting as lond as you but I can dig it. I can remember my dad laying on the couch in the basement religiously watching every game every Sunday, and us getting in trouble every time we walked in front of the screen. My dad is really the one who got me into the whole football thing, he was the biggest fan I had ever met in my life when I was little and I always tried to watch the games with him so I could be just like him. So good luck to the Cardinals, maybe the Redskins will make it next year :)
